The sound effects are probably the most impressive component of the game.
You don’t get rewarded for pulling of an impressive shot as you do in Sniper Elite. You do get a kill cam for some enemies, but those are all scripted. This greatly diminishes the satisfaction you get for shooting somebody through the eye socket, not being able to see the bullet bouncing around in the skull.
Unlike Sniper Elite V2, this game features no X-Ray cam. The 360 has no issues with performance, but the CryEngine cannot match the Unreal Engine 3.5 and other recent games like Gears of War: Judgment look significantly better. Players have complained of annoying framedrops on the PS3. The CryEngine 3 is unable to deliver the same experience on the consoles. Even though the game uses the same engine as Crysis 3, the graphical splendor is never matched. Unfortunately, the game has some lower resolution textures, which cause things to look blurry. The game makes use of the CryEngine 3 which is capable of producing some stellar graphics on the PC. For the final stage, we are transported to the present again, where we get to blow up a temple in Nepal and you get to settle the scores set up in act 2. In a predictable way, you get betrayed and the entire act serves as the raison d’être for the finale in act 3. The second act is a flashback to 1993, when Anderson was on a mission in Sarajevo. You start of in the Philippines, where you are deployed by the US Army to kill some generic bad guy and to support the other troops that have been flown in. The Story Mode only features three acts, each of which take about 90 minutes to complete. All the characters are replaceable and the game fails to bring any sort of character development. The story and the characters are so incredibly clichéd that’s they almost becomes original again. This time around, you play as Cole Anderson, supposedly the deadliest sniper of the Ghost Warrior squad. Ghost Warrior 2, then, really defies the odds. The game mostly racked up scores under 50% and nobody expected to ever see a sequel being developed. When Sniper: Ghost Warrior was released in 2010, it was poorly received. An indication that we should worry about the quality of the final product? Interestingly, the game is priced significantly lower than what we’ve come to expect from new releases.

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 aims to set a new bar for the best-selling first-person sniping franchise of all time, when it launches on June 4th, 2021 for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Contracts 2 takes the sandbox design of the first game to the next level with extreme-range sniping, adding to the variety of objectives players will tackle and revisit using realistic weapons, gadgets, and skills they’ll enhance with unlockable upgrades. Players take on the role of Raven, Contract Sniper Assassin, as they attempt to take down the brutal dictatorship installed by President Bibi Rashida and her husband, Omar Al-Bakr. Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is set in Kuamar, a lawless region of the Middle East, located along the Lebanese and Syrian borders. He has provided the voice of Rokhan in World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth (2018), Bayek in Assassin’s Creed Origins (2017), and also starred in Ridley Scott’s sci-fi series Raised by Wolves (2020) The new trailer is narrated by established actor Abubakar Salim. The PS4 versions will have a free digital upgrade to the PS5 version, which arrives later this year. The game promises to take the franchise to new heights as the most visually impressive entry yet, when it launches on June 4 for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The new trailer provides a deepdive into the variety of gameplay available in the game like sandbox-style maps, customizable weapons and equipment, and the new feature 1000m+ extreme-range sniping. Game studio CI Games has recently released the newest gameplay overview trailer for upcoming video game Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2.
